I found out about Peter Gray’s article from some of my new friends on Twitter.  Twitter has put me in touch with a much larger homeschooling/unschooling community than ever before.   For a long time I kind of groaned when anyone would mention ‘tweeting’, but I have to say, I have gained access to information I would never have found otherwise.

And it’s kind of addicting.

That said, one of my new ‘Tweeps’ as Twitter friends are called, posted a link to this article a couple of days ago.   I’m not going to set it up except to say that it is brilliant, makes tons of sense and supports not only our choice to life learn, but some of my recent discoveries about food.  (I’ll go into that another time.)

After you read it, take a little time (or a lot if you can) and check out these websites.  Websites from fellow unschoolers or homeschoolers, all of which I found through Twitter.    Just goes to show you that it pays to keep an open mind.

I could go on and on but that’s probably enough for one post.  Suffice it to say that the people behind these websites make me feel like a huge slacker.  I am in awe of the stuff they do and their mostly amazing grace while doing it.

Finally, a correction.  I referred to the unschooling mom in last night’s post as “Bunny”.  Her name is actually Button.  Make that two apologies I owe her.  Scoring lots of points there, aren’t I?
